Cornelia Frances, professionally at least, has been a bitch for many years now. Followers of Aussie soaps will remember her in 'Sons and Daughters' where she played Barbara Armstrong Hamilton. She also starred as Sister Scott in 'The Young Doctors' and in yet another super-bitch role she played Morag Bellingham in 'Home and Away'. Now she's back and she's playing the biggest bitch yet, as the host of the Aussie Weakest Link which is a welcome change to the 59 year old who was working in customer relations up until she was offered the job. Born in Liverpool during World War II, Frances was sent to a Catholic boarding school in the south of England. She was an average student and went on to train at London's Guild Hall Music and Drama School where she obtained a role in a small British movie called 'Goodbye, Mr Chips'. In 1965, she went to Australia with her then boyfriend and had the distinction of being the first woman to read the television news on Australia's Channel 9.They returned to England, married, and migrated to Australia permanently in 1970. When asked if she minded being known as a super bitch and she said '"No. When crossed, I can be very sarcastic and nasty, but then so, I think, can anybody when you are fairly quick-witted." and when asked about how she felt the Australian version compares with the British version she said '"You have to be very careful - English audiences are different to Australian ones so you don't want to alienate anyone," She also admits that she had to 'tone down' the Australian Weakest Link and that Anne is 'more meaner' than she is, But nevertheless,
