Sonja Zietlow, the German host of the weakest link was born on the 13th of May 1968 in Bonn, Germany. She became a model in 1987 and then went on to work on the Boeing 737. Two years later she became a contestant on a German dating show and from 1993 she hosted programmes called 'Bim Bam Bino', 'Hugo' and 'Cult' with German channel Cable 1.

On RTL2 she presented further TV shows including 'Hotzpotz' and one year later she co-presented yet another German TV show. She also went on to have her own TV talkshow and was well known for her harsh, assertive manner. When choosing the German Weakest Link host, Sonja was the obvious choice and so she dyed her hair, got out the stilettos and fired away.

At the age of 33, Sonja is the youngest host of the Weakest Link worldwide and some of her finest insults include:

'Intelligence is a great present but who didn't open the package'

'I know why it's so dark in the studio, because you are not bright!'

'Did someone use a fork to eat the soup of knowledge?'

Sonja: Reiner, why didn't you bank at the end?'
Contestant: 'I was dreaming'
Sonja: 'Of correct answers I guess'
